INSTRUCTIONSNOTICE:
1.    ALL ENTRIES must be TYPED or PRINTED IN INK.
2.    FULL NAMES OF ALL ENTRANTS MUST BE SHOWN (First Name, Middle Initial, Last Name)
.
3.    Please make all personal checks or money orders payable to Seminole County USBC BA.


4.PROPER DRESS ATTIRE WILL BE WORN BY ALL BOWLERS: NO TANK TOPS.  KNEE  LENGTH SHORTS WILL BE ALLOWED.  PANTS MUST BE WORN AROUND THE WAIST.  NO SLEEVELESS SHIRTS.  SHIRTS MUST HAVE COLLARS (WITH THE EXCEPTION OF TEAM T-SHIRTS [ALL BOWLERS ON TEAM MUST HAVE THE SAME TEAM SHIRT].  NO HATS SHALL BE WORN DURING TOURNAMENT PLAY.  THE ASSOCIATION HAS THE SOLE RIGHT TO DETERMINE PROPER ATTIRE.  ANY BOWLER NOT IN PROPER DRESS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO BOWL UNTIL PROPERLY ATTIRED. 


TOURNAMENT RULES 

1.    ELIGIBILITY: All entrants must be current members of the United States Bowling Congress.  Non-members of the United States Bowling Congress may enter by paying an unattached membership fee ($20.00).  Members of other associations must pay the Seminole County USBC BA transfer fee ($10.00). 


2.    Parental consent form (Rule 13) must accompany the entry form if required.


3.    MULTIPLE PARTICIPATION: Entrants may bowl more than once in any event, subject to the following rules:               
                      
FOUR PERSON EVENTS:  At least two (2) players in the lineup must be different.
                   TWO PERSON EVENTS:  At least one (1) player in the lineup must be different
.                    
INDIVIDUAL EVENT: In no case shall the same individual be permitted to place more than once in the prize list. 
                   ALL EVENTS:
When a bowler competes more than once, his first appearance in each event shall count towards his ALL EVENTS SCORES.
 


4.   
Bowlers entering either the SINGLES or DOUBLES events must enter the other event.


5.   
PRIZES: Plaques and cash will be presented to all tournament champions in each category.  Cash prizes will be awarded on a SCRATCH basis for all events and     HANDICAP basis for the ALL-EVENTS HANDICAP event.  Prizes
 will be awarded on a ratio of at least 1 in 8 except ALL-EVENTS which is at least 1 in 10.  Prize Ratio will      be    based on number of entries.

 
6.    CHECK-IN: ALL BOWLERS should check in at the check-in desk 45 minutes prior to squad time.  Current USBC BA and current SC USBC BA local cards (if applicable) must be presented for all bowlers. 


7.   HANDICAP: Handicap is based on 90% of the difference between your average and 230 scratch.  Average to be used is the highest verifiable USBC BA/USBC WBA average for the 2010-2011 season.  If there is no book average for the 2010-2011 season, the highest verifiable average as of January 1, 2012 shall be used based on a minimum of 21 games.  If none of the above applies you may use your 2011 summer average based on a minimum of 21 games.  All others shall enter the tournament with a 230 scratch average.  Sport league bowlers will  have their averages adjusted per the USBC Average Adjustment (Rule 202d) for the 2010-11 season.  All averages will be verified on bowl.com.  Tournament management reserves the right to determine average
.
 
8.     During the tournament USBC Rule 319a (ten pin rule) shall be in effect.  (See page 84 of the current rule  book.)

 9.      It shall be the bowler’s responsibility to verify the accuracy of their average.  Submission of an average lower than the correct average shall disqualify  their score. If the submitted average is higher than the correct average, the submitted average will be used.


10.             
     All entry fees must accompany the entry form or the form is invalid.


11.                   All substitutes should check in with the Tournament Manager 45 minutes prior to bowling.


12.                   Protests will be governed by USBC Rule 329.  All others will be settled by the Tournament Committee according to SC USBC BA tournament rules. 


13.                   USBC rules and regulations will apply throughout the tournament.


14.                 Standings and Prize lists will be posted at all houses in the Association and on the Association’s Web site  www.semctyba.org.


15.         CLOSING DATE: Closing date is February 11, 2012.  All entries postmarked no later than February 11, 2012 will be accepted.  All entry fees are final.    There shall be no refunds after the closing of entries.  There will be NO ON-SITE entries or re-entries. 


16.                   No more than one (1) current PBA/PWBA member allowed per team and no more than one (1) current PBA/PWBA member allowed on a doubles team.


17.                   Errors in scoring must be reported in writing within 24 hours to the Tournament Manager. 


18.         NO CHANGES in team or doubles order of bowling will be permitted.


19.            The Team Captain has the responsibility for notifying men/women on his/her team of the scheduled  assignment time and proper dress.  Any substitutions should      be reported immediately by the Team Captain.   It is the Team Captain’s responsibility to distribute any prize money.


 20.                   The Tournament Management reserves the right to rerate any bowler.


21.                   A right-handed bowler with an established right-hand average must bowl right-handed.  Similarly, a left-handed bowler with an established left-hand  average must bowl left-handed.  A bowler with both a right handed and left handed average must use his/her highest average. A bowler, who wants to use the  opposite hand the entering average was established with, must notify the Tournament Manager prior to  bowling for possible rerate.  Bowlers must complete  the tournament with the hand started with.  USBC    Rule 4c shall be in effect regarding changing delivery. 


22.                  Any team or player arriving late shall begin play with the score to count from the frame then being bowled.     A bowler who misses one or more frames by not being present and ready to bowl in turn will receive a zero (0)     for frames missed.
